Thank you to all those parents, teachers, companies and charities that have given support in creating the Attachment Friendly Award and website; especially Open Nest, Inspired Foundations and the Adoption Social who are all linked from the home page and are well worth visiting.
On September 1st the application opens for schools to receive the award. Remember this is not onerous and is a simple process of receiving training and getting a supportive statement from your parents of adopted children. Alternatively you can look at the criteria on the award page and show what you are doing. The award, and website, exist to help us all work together to support children with attachment difficulties and to highlight nationally the importance of attachment training for schools and other professionals.
